Inglis Ready2Race Sale a breeze

27 Sep Inglis Ready2Race Sale a breeze

The momentum continues to build towards the Inglis Ready2Race Sale on October 11. We are only 15 days out from heading to Riverside Stables and Woodpark’s three colts all breezed terrific at Warwick Farm recently.

The third-fastest time at Warwick Farm was clocked by our Smart Missile x Firebird Flyer (NZ) colt, selling as Lot 174 he breezed in 10.39secs.

“I’m very pleased, he did it easy, we didn’t push him hard at all,’’ Woodpark’s Jean Dubois said.

“He pulled up really well and like the others, he’ll just be kept in slow, easy work now until the sale.’’

There isn’t a hotter stallion in the country right now than RUBICK. He has started the new racing season in white-hot form, highlighted by JACQUINOT claiming the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m) at the weekend.

The $15 million The Everest now looms for the first top-flight winner for his sire. Keep in mind Rubick has already sired a winner of the world’s richest rac on turf in YES YES YES.

Woodpark will offer a Rubick colt ex our imported Dubawi mare Emirates Comfort (IRE). She is out of the Group 1-wining mare Royal Highness. Lot 164 breezed in 10.54secs.

“It was a lovely breeze today, he handled everything easily,” Pierre Dubois said.

“He has been a super horse right from the start. Being a homebred, he was broken in really early and he has just gone from strength to strength.

“He is a beautiful colt, nice big action and a really good temperament.”

Our final breeze of the day was the Super One colt ex Lekhani (IRE) who clocked 10.82secs. He is catalogued as Lot 228 and

“It was a nice breeze today, he probably performed a little better than we thought he would at this stage, Pierre added.

“He has improved in such a short space of time after coming into the stable late after being purchased at the Inglis May Sale.

“We still have plenty of time until the sale for him to continue to improve which is the exciting part also.”
