Julian Rock shines under Friday night lights

Julian Rock is the gift that keeps on giving. The eight-year-old veteran has shown no signs of slowing down with another win under the lights at Canterbury Park on Friday night.

Given a patient ride by Kerrin McEvoy, the pair hugged the rail and peeled off at the right time to kick clear in the SVM Roseville Kia Evening Star (BM72) over 1100m.

Arnaqueur races back to form

Arnaqueur wins at Randwick and will take confidence from the victory - image Steve Hart

The Benchmark 72 event over 1400m at Randwick on Saturday for three and four year-olds featured a short priced favourite in promising Churchill (IRE) colt Conqueror, who lost few admirers with his strong finishing second to another horse primed for a good campaign in Arnaqueur.

Julian Rock winds back the clock

Julian Rock showed he still has a zest for racing with an impressive win on the Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday, under Jason Collett.

Collett settled the seven-year-old at the rear of the field in the China Horse Club The Chase Handicap over 1100m. He hugged the rail rounding the home turn and then took his chance when the gap opened, ducking off the rail and coming outside the leading horse.

Zadig cruises in Highway
